Can Your Logo Cost You Business?

Another Monday Morning Website Tip by Marcus Rangel

Have you ever pulled up your website and looked at your logo and asked yourself this question, does my logo look a little “tired.”

Having a “tired” logo can actually cost you business because if you think of how people scan your website it’s from left to right (or on a phone top to bottom), and what’s at the top of every website? Your logo. So if your logo doesn’t appease the eye in those first few seconds people visit your site, it can be costing you business.

Here’s what I mean by tired, a logo that if you looked at it just for a few seconds doesn’t seem like it is fresh.

Here’s the good news.

I would say 99% of logos have a great idea of where they came from, it may just need a simple refresh. A god example of this is what we did for Engroff Catering when we relaunched their website, it came with a modern twist to their former logo.

I’m also going to say that it’s not easy for everyone transitioning from an earlier logo for everyone, but when you make the switch, it’s like a fresh haircut 🙂

Take a look below to see what I mean.

How do you know if you need a new logo?

I would challenge you to pull up your website, take a glance at it for 3 seconds and ask yourself the question, “does my logo look tired.”

About Marcus Rangel

I've been working with small businesses owners to craft not only beautiful custom websites, but clear, clever and concise messages to reach their prospects since 2005.

I officially hung up my "corporate cleats" to be an entrepreneur and small business owner in the summer of 2020. IMC, which started as a side hustle early in the mornings before the sun was even up in 2017, is what led me down this path as a business owner myself. I focus on helping other business owners continually stay in front of people & prospects with digital marketing, create websites that get leads with great engagement, and produce video content that are meant for the digital era we're in.

When I'm not creating, you can find me hanging out with my incredible family on our front lawn or on my OneWheel around the big city of Owasso, OK.

Website Customer Journey How To

Amazing! When’s the last time you said that after working with someone? What made you say that or tell others about your experience? We recently had our patio worked on by the Gorilla Brothers, and oh my, it was amazing! They communicated—actually over-communicated—the entire time. Even when we were on vacation, we opened our email to find daily uploaded pictures showing the progress. Any change orders were approved by us before anything was added to our budget. Before signing the contract, did we know their process would make us feel like our patio project would receive the same attention as a big commercial project with a huge budget? Both Anna and I had an inclination this was the right builder, but we ultimately went with…
