Another Monday Morning Website Tip by Marcus Rangel

This week let’s get you a win on your website to kick off your Monday. This won’t cost you anything, it’s literally free and if you have someone on your staff who can field the messages coming in, this is a no brainer to get better engagement on your site.

It’s called Drift, and it’s awesome!

It’s the little popup in the corner that alerts guests to your site that you have a live person there to answer their questions. It shows their picture, the option to have a personalized message (so it sounds like them), and looks really slick.

Did I mention it’s FREE?

There are paid versions of their program, (read about it here), but I’ve found that the free version works great! What are you waiting for? I had to take this off of my site because there were too many messages/leads coming in for me to answer in real time.

P.S. Has anyone else ever noticed that anything Johnny Morris is a part of is simply amazing? He’s the guy that owns Bass Pro Shops and his aquarium in Springfield was one of the coolest spots we ever stopped at. I love how everything he does is done with excellence… just look at our kids enjoying it!

About Marcus Rangel

I've been working with small businesses owners to craft not only beautiful custom websites, but clear, clever and concise messages to reach their prospects since 2005.

I officially hung up my "corporate cleats" to be an entrepreneur and small business owner in the summer of 2020. IMC, which started as a side hustle early in the mornings before the sun was even up in 2017, is what led me down this path as a business owner myself. I focus on helping other business owners continually stay in front of people & prospects with digital marketing, create websites that get leads with great engagement, and produce video content that are meant for the digital era we're in.

When I'm not creating, you can find me hanging out with my incredible family on our front lawn or on my OneWheel around the big city of Owasso, OK.

Why you need a website scorecard

How can you tell if your website is successful a year from now? It’s the same way I’m measuring if I can do more pushups than my 6 year old son… who has set the bar of 800 push ups in one day, no kidding. The key is keeping your scorecard of your website stats in front of you and your team every month. Don’t overthink this, there’s only a few things that you should measure monthly with your website and they are: The key to do this is it training you to focus your attention to your website first of all, and then by using that attention to measure if your website is doing what you want, or if it could use a quick…

Quick tips on how to come up with a good tagline for a small business

Can you think of some memorable taglines from a small business? One of my all time favorite comes from a small town in Kansas that we drive through on our way to Tulsa, Oklahoma. It’s so good that I even took a picture so it will become instantly memorable for you as well. Berts Tavern – We only look expensive. Why do Anna and I laugh every single time we drive by this “fine” establishment? Because the tagline is so priceless! It’s such a perfect use of knowing how this statement is a polar opposite of what you would expect to see from a place that looks like a shack… and yet this place has a 4.7 rating on Facebook and Google! Clearly they have…

How to get reviews on Google

Have you ever thought of a Google review this way? What if you were to drive by your business and the “star rating” was directly above your business on the street… would it be more important to you then? My guess is, yes. Here’s the good news, getting your clients to leave 5 star reviews on Google isn’t as hard as you probably think. Here’s several ways I’ve done recently for some of our clients and even for IMC. Send a personal email. I love mass communication as much as anyone else, because it’s easy. But sending an email in mass even if the email is coming from “you” from Mailchimp, isn’t the same as coming from your Outlook box to someone else’s. Making it…
