How has your marketing changed in the last 6 months?

Another Monday Morning Website Tip by Marcus Rangel

We’re roughly in month 6 of a new land of opportunity and my question to you is how has your marketing changed in the last 6 months with this new opportunity we’re in?

Since I’m refreshed from being on vacation 🙂 I have several questions to think through. And yes, I did refer to the last 6 months as an opportunity because just because although things have changed a bit, it has required us to adapt and look at new ways of doing things which for me is a ton of fun!

How would you rate yourself in staying in front of people?
The key here is frequency and good content. Right now people are looking for answers to questions that you probably have and you can easily stay in front of people with either social, website, or email content. Speaking of email content….

How did you use your email list?
Your prospects are looking for interesting stuff to read in their inbox. Think of it this way, how many non-personal emails do you get in a week? What if you started sending something at least weekly that gave an update or showed you as a guide to the environment we’re in?

What video content did you roll out?
Why read when you can watch right? Ads online perform better with video and I bet if I made these emails into a video it would be a lot easier to scan through… but I get up too early to write these things to make a video!

What books did you read?
I have two book recommendations if you haven’t read lately, “Free to Focus” by Michael Hyatt, an amazing book on how to focus your time and attention on the right things in life as a business owner or a leader within a company and the new one I just got in the mail, “Traffic Secrets” by Russell Brunson that I’m pumped to read.

What changed on your website?
It’s a great time to at least stop and look at your website. If your marketing has changed at all, is it reflected on your website? If your marketing didn’t need to, have you posted any new content to your site?

P.S. I mentioned vacation and man how important that is to me and our family and don’t let Covid stop you from doing something – you need it! If you are looking for a spot I can never recommend highly enough Big Cedar Lodge which is just south of Branson. The views, the level of excellent service, and just being outside in nature with your fam is something amazing! Here’s a pic of us as you head into the resort!

About Marcus Rangel

I've been working with small businesses owners to craft not only beautiful custom websites, but clear, clever and concise messages to reach their prospects since 2005.

I officially hung up my "corporate cleats" to be an entrepreneur and small business owner in the summer of 2020. IMC, which started as a side hustle early in the mornings before the sun was even up in 2017, is what led me down this path as a business owner myself. I focus on helping other business owners continually stay in front of people & prospects with digital marketing, create websites that get leads with great engagement, and produce video content that are meant for the digital era we're in.

When I'm not creating, you can find me hanging out with my incredible family on our front lawn or on my OneWheel around the big city of Owasso, OK.

Does your website need help?

Free live chat on website

This week let’s get you a win on your website to kick off your Monday. This won’t cost you anything, it’s literally free and if you have someone on your staff who can field the messages coming in, this is a no brainer to get better engagement on your site. It’s called Drift, and it’s awesome! It’s the little popup in the corner that alerts guests to your site that you have a live person there to answer their questions. It shows their picture, the option to have a personalized message (so it sounds like them), and looks really slick. Did I mention it’s FREE? There are paid versions of their program, (read about it here), but I’ve found that the free version works great!…

How to build a sales email campaign

2 weeks ago, I hit on why you must have a sales email campaign if you capture leads online – make sure to read that first if you haven’t. This week, I’m going to show you HOW… and whether you are a fan like I am of Donald Miller, Russell Brunson, or Gary Vee, what I’ve learned is the key is striking while the iron is hot! Email 1: Give the “give” away instantly. Don’t make your prospect wait for your item of value. I tend to give it away on the thank you page + an automatic email that goes out right away as soon as the form gets filled out. The less “clicks” away from your site the better, remember that. This email…
