How has your marketing changed in the last 6 months?

Another Monday Morning Website Tip by Marcus Rangel

We’re roughly in month 6 of a new land of opportunity and my question to you is how has your marketing changed in the last 6 months with this new opportunity we’re in?

Since I’m refreshed from being on vacation 🙂 I have several questions to think through. And yes, I did refer to the last 6 months as an opportunity because just because although things have changed a bit, it has required us to adapt and look at new ways of doing things which for me is a ton of fun!

How would you rate yourself in staying in front of people?
The key here is frequency and good content. Right now people are looking for answers to questions that you probably have and you can easily stay in front of people with either social, website, or email content. Speaking of email content….

How did you use your email list?
Your prospects are looking for interesting stuff to read in their inbox. Think of it this way, how many non-personal emails do you get in a week? What if you started sending something at least weekly that gave an update or showed you as a guide to the environment we’re in?

What video content did you roll out?
Why read when you can watch right? Ads online perform better with video and I bet if I made these emails into a video it would be a lot easier to scan through… but I get up too early to write these things to make a video!

What books did you read?
I have two book recommendations if you haven’t read lately, “Free to Focus” by Michael Hyatt, an amazing book on how to focus your time and attention on the right things in life as a business owner or a leader within a company and the new one I just got in the mail, “Traffic Secrets” by Russell Brunson that I’m pumped to read.

What changed on your website?
It’s a great time to at least stop and look at your website. If your marketing has changed at all, is it reflected on your website? If your marketing didn’t need to, have you posted any new content to your site?

P.S. I mentioned vacation and man how important that is to me and our family and don’t let Covid stop you from doing something – you need it! If you are looking for a spot I can never recommend highly enough Big Cedar Lodge which is just south of Branson. The views, the level of excellent service, and just being outside in nature with your fam is something amazing! Here’s a pic of us as you head into the resort!

About Marcus Rangel

I've been working with small businesses owners to craft not only beautiful custom websites, but clear, clever and concise messages to reach their prospects since 2005.

I officially hung up my "corporate cleats" to be an entrepreneur and small business owner in the summer of 2020. IMC, which started as a side hustle early in the mornings before the sun was even up in 2017, is what led me down this path as a business owner myself. I focus on helping other business owners continually stay in front of people & prospects with digital marketing, create websites that get leads with great engagement, and produce video content that are meant for the digital era we're in.

When I'm not creating, you can find me hanging out with my incredible family on our front lawn or on my OneWheel around the big city of Owasso, OK.

Does your website need help?

Why you must have a sales email campaign if you capture leads

If you capture leads online, have you ever thought about how those leads should be treated differently than say someone that’s been on your list for 6 months to a year? If you’ve been around sales at all, you know that if someone calls into your office and talks to you – you would consider them either a hot or cold lead throughout your process. Why is it that we treat online leads any different than someone that we’ve talked to? Because they are just warming up to you and your business if they’ve requested an item of value from your site. So if someone just requested a Whitepaper, a promo code, or a book you wrote from your site, that is why we must…

How to Access and View Your Google Analytics – A deep dive into Google Analytics Part 2

A couple weeks ago we dove into the top 3 things to look at in your google analytics, but I should have started with how to access them. Analyzing your data on your website hasn’t been more important, especially in the times we are in now, more now than ever. If you aren’t looking at your stats, you’re literally losing leads and having people visit your site that are leaving that could be staying and becoming clients. If people started thinking about every bounce rate as someone clicking on their site, and leaving and never coming back, I believe they would think differently about their site. Step 1 – Ask for Access to your Google Analytics At a base level for any website, your web…

My Top 3 Google Analytic Stats to Look At

Have you ever gone into a meeting or argument without data to backup what you are trying to get across? It seems that whenever someone has the data it’s like they have the keys to the kingdom. Knowing which data though is tough to filter through, especially with google analytics, but there are really only 3 things you need to look at. Your top visited pages on your site. I really like to focus on this stat because it shows you the flow of where people are spending time on your site. It also shows you the percentage of total visits on your site that people are spending on this page. It’s still always shocking to me that the about us page is 9 times…
