Landing Page Website Tip #1: Your Offer
Another Monday Morning Website Tip by
When’s the last time you feel that because of an offer, you signed up for something? I did this recently when I drove by what seems the hundreds of new carwashes popping up. Their offer was, “Car wash today for $5” instead of their normal $10 rate. Then, when I got up there they said their monthly subscription for unlimited car washes was $5 a month for the next 3 months. I thought, wow, why wouldn’t I sign up for this offer and they had me ever since.
Do you know why I love landing page websites for testing offers? Because it gives your audience the chance to say 1 of 2 things, yes or no. Is the car wash company expecting for every person in the city to stop by and sign up for their offer, probably not. But, they are expecting a certain percentage to sign up for their offer based on what I imagine they ask in person. That’s also what you can expect to do with a landing page, you can reduce all the other “noise” from your website and see if an offer is working or not.
Here’s an example of a recent landing page I worked on
I worked recently with Tangerine Cookies to create a landing page offer to draw up more business for corporate clients. The offer we are testing now is, “Schedule a talk with Tara and I’ll send you a box of free cookies.” What business owner or marketing exec wouldn’t request that free box of cookies? That’s exactly what we are hoping 🙂
You’ll see on this landing page that there isn’t anything to do except say yes or no to this offer. That’s what makes it so good.
Remember, you could have the perfect video, testimonial, or even text that hits all the right points, it all comes down to how good of an offer you are presenting to the prospect.
By the way, if you haven’t tried Tangerine Cookies they are one word, phenomenal! Check out their main site by visiting tangerinegourmetcookies.com or if you are looking to send some amazing gifts to your clients, check out the landing page by visiting corporatecookiesgift.com

About Marcus Rangel
I've been working with small businesses owners to craft not only beautiful custom websites, but clear, clever and concise messages to reach their prospects since 2005.
I officially hung up my "corporate cleats" to be an entrepreneur and small business owner in the summer of 2020. IMC, which started as a side hustle early in the mornings before the sun was even up in 2017, is what led me down this path as a business owner myself. I focus on helping other business owners continually stay in front of people & prospects with digital marketing, create websites that get leads with great engagement, and produce video content that are meant for the digital era we're in.
When I'm not creating, you can find me hanging out with my incredible family on our front lawn or on my OneWheel around the big city of Topeka, KS.

Have you ever thought of a Google review this way? What if you were to drive by your business and the “star rating” was directly above your business on the street… would it be more important to you then? My guess is, yes. Here’s the good news, getting your clients to leave 5 star reviews on Google isn’t as hard as you probably think. Here’s several ways I’ve done recently for some of our clients…Read More
Have you ever pulled up your website and looked at your logo and asked yourself this question, does my logo look a little “tired.” Having a “tired” logo can actually cost you business because if you think of how people scan your website it’s from left to right (or on a phone top to bottom), and what’s at the top of every website? Your logo. So if your logo doesn’t appease the eye in those…Read More
Have you ever signed up for an email newsletter that has no name and a call to action of “sign up for our newsletter,” I’m guessing you probably didn’t. Is it because you had no idea what the magic newsletter was? The data for those signups of that email newsletter probably looked a lot like these sales George Costanza had for his Dad right? What if you named your newsletter something that was relevant to…Read More
