Personal Emails – Why they will always matter

Isn’t email marketing great?
You get to craft one message that goes to all of your client or prospects in one or two clicks. Have you set aside a day at least once a month to email your hitters or top clients directly?
One of the key things I’m doing is being proactive with how I run IMC.
Before I shot out the live chat feature to my email list, as my clients know, I sent them all a personal email on how I thought it would benefit them directly.
Did that take more time, you bet it did and it was so worth it!
Now, think about how many responses you would get by blasting out an email even if it’s a great feature or something people should take action on. Now think how many responses you would get if you emailed that idea with taking time to personalize it for that specific client. Which one do you think got more responses?
Email is such a powerful tool.
Don’t just get sucked into only sending blast emails out and forget to be personal and ultimately use email for what it was designed for, to have one on one messages instead of sending stuff through the mail! But if you do send something through the mail… well we’ll save that for another day.
P.S. A lot of people have asked me recently what it’s like to be my own boss and be on my own. I honestly love it – yeah I had to figure out my schedule for a couple of weeks to get it really defined (and figure out how to be a good science teacher at the same time to my daughter) but the work has been so much fun to get back into creating stuff – I’ve gotten to already so far shoot and edit videos, take photos, make websites, write for both email marketing and the web, work with some amazing clients… this pic kind of summed it up that my friend Kevin took of me while were doing a project in western KS coming down a giant grain elevator with what felt like 40 mph winds. I love it!
