This process video should be on your website

Another Monday Morning Website Tip by Marcus Rangel
How easy is it for people to understand the process of working with you? I’m not talking about the process you’ve named either. I’m referring to looking at your website and saying I wonder what the next steps are in working with this person or this business?
Yes having that content on your site is important in clearly explaining what the steps are but what if you could accomplish that with a 60-90 second video which medium do you think people will consume?
I recently got to help Erica Thowe out with her video marketing for her website. Obviously she needed a brand video to showcase the problems she solves and who she is, but I also told her the next most important video is a video about her process.

In this video we cover:
- That the prospect needs to fill out the form in order for Erica to get back to them
- How soon will she reach back out to them
- Where will the meeting take place
- What will she cover
- What’s the end result
On a side note, make sure this video is towards the top of the page and don’t burry it towards the bottom and also make it’s short and to the point! Erica’s site does a great job of this in positioning the video and form at a great spot, you can check it out here: http://www.ericakaydesign.com/process
P.s. Have you thought of leaving part of your Christmas card design blank so you could write a personal note on it to your clients? Yeah it takes more time but how many hand written cards will you get this year? Food for thought for next year!

About Marcus Rangel
I've been working with small businesses owners to craft not only beautiful custom websites, but clear, clever and concise messages to reach their prospects since 2005.
I officially hung up my "corporate cleats" to be an entrepreneur and small business owner in the summer of 2020. IMC, which started as a side hustle early in the mornings before the sun was even up in 2017, is what led me down this path as a business owner myself. I focus on helping other business owners continually stay in front of people & prospects with digital marketing, create websites that get leads with great engagement, and produce video content that are meant for the digital era we're in.
When I'm not creating, you can find me hanging out with my incredible family on our front lawn or on my OneWheel around the big city of Owasso, OK.

There are so many ideas out there of where your call to action should be and how to market it but have you ever just asked yourself, would I want this or is this a great value to someone else? It seems if we just step back and ask ourself that question it will help us really pivot to making a better offer. And in the end, if you want to help people they will see the value you are providing and want to work with you in the end anyways. Here’s a thought: If it doesn’t hurt to give it away, the give or offer isn’t big enough. One of my favorite gives of all time that I have experienced was a free audio…

Read MoreIf you’ve taken the time to read your county’s or state’s guidelines for reopening this past week, did you read the entire document or scan it to find out exactly what you were looking for? I bet 95% of us scanned it, and I’ll tell you why. We don’t have time to read 10 pages of text, or at least we think we don’t. People are looking for headlines to grab their attention. If we find a headline, then we are looking for bullets to define the details of that headline. This is why it’s so important that we take these things into consideration, whether it’s your website, your email campaigns, or any PDF we put out digitally. Did you know that most people leave a website within 10 seconds? And…
