Another Monday Morning Website Tip by Marcus Rangel

Website Customer Journey

Amazing! When’s the last time you said that after working with someone?

What made you say that or tell others about your experience?

We recently had our patio worked on by the Gorilla Brothers, and oh my, it was amazing! They communicated—actually over-communicated—the entire time. Even when we were on vacation, we opened our email to find daily uploaded pictures showing the progress. Any change orders were approved by us before anything was added to our budget.

Before signing the contract, did we know their process would make us feel like our patio project would receive the same attention as a big commercial project with a huge budget? Both Anna and I had an inclination this was the right builder, but we ultimately went with our gut.

So how can you show through your website the customer journey for an amazing process before they sign a contract?

Plain and simple, I feel if you put it on your website or in the sales process, you’re doing your business a big favor.

My top recommendations for showcasing what your future clients can expect are either through a diagram or a simple video of you talking about the process and showing examples. If you work with me at all, you know that I love sending soapbox videos – they’re great for explaining things and quickly getting the video out to customers.

I’m even rethinking our process on our website, or at least during the process of someone working with us, to make sure it’s clearly laid out – and not just the typical “3 steps to working with us” generic stuff you’re used to seeing online.

I think the big question is: if you do great work and your clients love what you do, is it spelled out online what your future clients can expect? If not, you could be costing yourself business!

About Marcus Rangel

I've been working with small businesses owners to craft not only beautiful custom websites, but clear, clever and concise messages to reach their prospects since 2005.

I officially hung up my "corporate cleats" to be an entrepreneur and small business owner in the summer of 2020. IMC, which started as a side hustle early in the mornings before the sun was even up in 2017, is what led me down this path as a business owner myself. I focus on helping other business owners continually stay in front of people & prospects with digital marketing, create websites that get leads with great engagement, and produce video content that are meant for the digital era we're in.

When I'm not creating, you can find me hanging out with my incredible family on our front lawn or on my OneWheel around the big city of Owasso, OK.
