What value are you willing to give away for free?

There are so many ideas out there of where your call to action should be and how to market it but have you ever just asked yourself, would I want this or is this a great value to someone else? It seems if we just step back and ask ourself that question it will help us really pivot to making a better offer. And in the end, if you want to help people they will see the value you are providing and want to work with you in the end anyways.

Here’s a thought: If it doesn’t hurt to give it away, the give or offer isn’t big enough.

One of my favorite gives of all time that I have experienced was a free audio book. I heard Vincent Pugliese on a podcast about school options for your kids and at the end he said I just wrote a book and I’m giving the audio version away for free (see the offer here). Wow, he just had me hooked with his content from the guest podcast he was on and now he was giving away his book? For free??? You bet I entered my email address to get that! 

Now think how tough that might have been for him to giveaway (and the back and forth emotions he probably felt).

He probably spent a year or more writing the book or longer and then giving a way the audio version which probably took at least a month is extreme value to give away! Why would he do that? He wanted to show real value and give something that would show he’s the real deal. I’ve been a fan of his stuff ever since and am an avid listener of his podcast and materials he puts out and it’s all attributed to his free offer. 

So now I turn it back to you. What are you willing to give away for free to get someone in your funnel?

Is it a coaching call for 30 minutes? Is it a  steep promo code? Is it a video series that you’ve spent a ton of time on? Is it something that your competition would say I can’t believe you are giving that away!? 

If your content, sales process, and value that you provide is good my next question is why not give something away for free that hurts?
