Where should you spend money on online advertising?

Facebook Ads, Google Ads and SEO may be where your head initially goes at when you think of spending money on online advertising.
And although I would still recommend Google ads, there are 2 other strategies that are pretty standard if you were to ask me where to make sure they should head with spending money online: Retargeting and Email Marketing. Here’s why:
Retargeting – bring people back.
Did you know that those little ads that follow you around the internet asking you to come back to purchase that item you didn’t follow through with yet can be utilized on your site? That’s right, you don’t have to be selling those fresh new Jordan’s to get those ads to start working for your company for every single person that visits your site. (And yes “The Last Dance” on ESPN about Michael Jordan is amazing… he’ll always be better than Lebron… just sayin’)
Think about that, people that have shown interest in what you’re selling and all you are doing is reminding them of what they are missing out on. I like to think of it as a smart online billboard that shows up to people only interested in your brand – rather than a giant billboard on the highway screaming to anyone that might catch their attention for 2.3 seconds.
Email marketing – keep growing and emailing your list.
I’ve hit this a lot but can’t stress it enough. You should be emailing your list once a month at the very minimum. If you aren’t, let me know and I’ll write the content for you and design the email for you. Staying in front of your clients and your prospects is huge and their email inbox is getting looking at least every business day of the week and not hitting up your list with again people that have showed interest in what you’re selling doesn’t make a whole lotta’ sense does it?
Google Ads – tried and true.
You really can’t go wrong or ignore setting these up. I’ve seen & heard of thousands of dollars wasted on SEO and FB ads, but the one true online ad that seems to get real results is Google Ads. It’s super simple to setup and you set the limit of your monthly budget whether it’s $250 a month or $1000 and Google will even tell you how much the ads will cost based on what you are wanting to show up on.
What’s great about these 3 strategies is they won’t cost you a ton where SEO alone could cost you in the $1k and up range.
But what’s really great about any online advertising is you can always see the data, and the data will tell you what is and isn’t working (as long as you know how to read it right)!
