Would someone come back to your website?

The first thing you have to ask yourself is why would someone come back to your website right?  It seems like 95% of websites are “static” and aren’t frequently updated. The other 5% are making updates and give you a reason to come back, let’s look at why.

#1 – There is a blog

The tricky thing about this though is that you shouldn’t just call this section on your site “blog,” it should be a topic that you show your expertise on as well as authority on this topic. I recently read Michael Hyatt’s book “platform” and highly recommend you read it as he walks through step by step on how you should do this.

#2 – There is a video series

Wistia does an amazing job telling and showing you how to do this if you have the content already created. Say you have a tv show – rather than listing your shows as a boring archive with air dates, label each video as part of a series and you can even schedule when the next part of your video publishes on your site. Heck, it even emails out latest episodes within the wistia platform, it’s a game changer.

#3 – There is a podcast

This is the shiny object these days and for good reason because if done right because you can really build your credibility and tribe of done right and it’s easy to republish your content within your site. Obviously you want people to subscribe to your podcast so they really won’t go back to your site once you have them hooked but it’s a very good showpiece to introduce your prospects to your podcast and you should have your site show the most popular podcasts when they land on this page of your site.

Theres a lot more reasons why people come back to websites but these 3 are for sure what is trending in 2020.

The question I have for you is, if someone goes to your site, will they come back?
